Ragothaman Sundararajan
Post-Doctoral Research Assistant

Education
B.Sc (Physics) from Madura College, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India - 1990.
M.Sc (Physics) from Madura College, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India - 1993.
M.Sc (Aerospace Engineering) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India – 1997.
Ph.D (Meteorology) from Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden - 2001.

Research Interests
My research interests lie in the areas of Fluid dynamics, Atmospheric and Dispersion Modelingand Turbulence. My previous work in these areas includes micrometeorological simulations, mesoscale and Lagrangian Random Particle modeling. I am specifically interested in the problem of marine air penetration along the U.S. West Coast, and modeling dispersion of urban and regional air pollution. Future work will include application of LES models, apart from extension of the present work related to the application of mesoscale models, and development of Lagrangian Random particle models.
